Trip to Theatre Performance of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’

On Thursday 10th October 2024, Year 5 & 6 students (Elm, Chestnut and Oak Class) have a fantastic opportunity to take part in a trip to a matinee performance of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ at the Palace Theatre, Southend.

The performance will commence at 1:00pm and we will leave school at 12:15pm to ensure adequate arrival time. As we will be eating our lunch earlier than usual, please provide your child with a packed lunch. Please advise the school office if your child is entitled to Free School Meals and will require a school packed lunch on this day.

The running time of the show is approximately 2hours 30 minutes which means the children will return to school later than usual at around 4:15pm. We will keep in contact via text message if the children are running late due to traffic. Children will be required to wear full school uniform for the trip with a coat. Children are allowed to bring an additional healthy snack for the interval (e.g. fruit, small bag of popcorn and water).
